LEARNING & DEVELOPMENT - Outside In
Aims and Background
OUTSIDE-IN is a newly established Parent-led Voluntary Support Group. It was set up in September 2009, by parents, for parents and carers of children and young adults with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and/or an Autistic Spectrum Disorder.
OUTSIDE-IN aims to provide information, advice and support to enable parents to cope with the "ups and downs" of daily life in a relaxed, friendly and non-judgemental environment.
The Group enables parents to discuss a range of topics, including home life, behavioural difficulties, eating, sleeping, sexuality and educational issues, to name but a few! Parents can share their experiences and reduce the feeling of isolation. Professional speakers will attend some future meetings to talk to parents about their relevant concerns. A lending book library will soon be available.
Where, Who & When?
The Group meets at Shefford Lower School, School Lane, Shefford, SG17 5XA, on the third Tuesday of every month at 6.45 – 8.30 p.m. (dates vary during school holidays – see below for details).
